George Mason University Korea kicked off its 10th anniversary celebrations with a lively reception that brought together Mason Korea students, faculty, and staff, current and past leaders, visitors from George Mason's Fairfax Campus; and members of the Mason Korea advisory board.

In its fourth year, Mason Korea's Progress@Play Digital Art Competition continues to grow with more than 300 teams from eight countries competing.

When Joonhyuck Lee had to choose between going to college in Korea or taking a gap year, he decided that the study-abroad track would be much more beneficial than attending a local Korean university.

Yoonsung Shin took a gap year after high school and worked to get a higher score on the Korean national college entrance exam. While considering his options, he looked at the possibility of taking his college education in the United States after his mom introduced him to Mason Korea.

As a business major, Chanyoung Kim founded the Mason Consulting Group in Mason Korea to create a platform for students to learn about the latest trends in consulting jobs, hone their skills in strategic thinking, and share their passion for consulting.

Traveling abroad has been part of Jimin Jeon’s life for as long as she can remember. She traveled with her mom during every school vacation, which allowed her to visit 23 countries by the time she was a college student.

Ten Mason Korea students recently visited Samsung Biologics in Songdo, Incheon, for a unique opportunity to gain firsthand insights into one of Korea's leading biotechnology companies.

Business major Lucy Hong is finishing her first semester at the Fairfax Campus this spring, part of a two-semester sequence in Fairfax that all Mason Korea students include in their four-year plan. She plans to graduate this winter.
