Log into Patriot Pass at password.gmu.edu. Click on “Activate Account” under the LOGIN button to activate your Patriot Pass account. You will need your Mason ID number and your Claim Code, which is your date of birth in MMDDYY format. If you have already completed this step, log into Patriot Web at patriotweb.gmu.edu with your Username( also called your NetID) and password.
Log into Patriot Web, select the Financial Aid Tab, and click on Financial Aid Dashboard. The Home page will give you detailed instructions on the Award Offer and Acceptance Procedures.
Click the Award Offer page to review awards. Be sure to accept or decline each award type listed in your financial aid award offer as soon as possible as some awards are limited and based on the availability of these funds. You may also choose to accept a reduced amount of a loan award.
Click on the Resources page to review the terms and conditions of your aid offer(s).
If you are accepting Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans, complete the Entrance Counseling (EC) and the Master Promissory Note (MPN) at https://studentaid.gov/h/complete-aid-process. You only have to do the MPN and EC once, not every year.
Once you accept this offer, contact the Office of Student Financial Aid if any changes occur in your enrollment status, residency, housing choice, or your family financial situation, all of which may affect your financial aid eligibility.
Continuing Students

Students should notify the Office of Student Financial Aid if they anticipate receipt of any additional external aid or resources.
Office of Student Financial Aid uses email as the primary form of communication to all students concerning updates and missing requirements. Please note that it is important for you to frequently monitor your Mason email and check your financial aid and/or award information online via Patriot Web.
