Before completing his degree from the College of Education and Human Development, Sami Saghir was working with the Cirque du Soleil ECHO show. This experience was counted toward the internship period of Saghir’s degree before he entered his career with Cirque Du Soleil post-graduation.

George Mason University professor Lisa Gilman lived in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) from the time she was born until she was 9 years old. She is currently working on her research of migrants and displaced people who have been affected by war and trauma with her project, “My Culture, My Survival: Arts Initiatives by Refugees for Refugees.”

The U.S. government added the China Academy of Science – Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), to its "Entity List," effective June 30, 2022. This action prohibits exports of any items, technology, or software that is subject to the U.S. export administration regulations.
