Mason Virginia Promise

Students from George Mason University’s Competitive Cybersecurity (MCC) club have dominated in multiple national competitions. The team got 1st place in the 2024 VMI CyberFusion and 2nd place in the 2024 Spring National Cyber League. Next, the students will be competing in the inaugural DistrictCon Hacker Conference on February 21-22.

George Mason University has received Virginia Board of Education funding for two of 14 lab schools being established around the commonwealth.

Alizé Rubiera is the first ADVANCE Mason Virginia Promise student to enroll at the university. She comes to George Mason from Germanna Community College.

The Virginia Board of Education has approved funding for George Mason to launch the Accelerated College and Employability Skills (ACCESS) Academy, a collaborative partnership with Northern Virginia Community College and Loudoun County Public Schools.
