Youngkin appoints four new members to Mason’s Board of Visitors

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Thursday announced four new appointments to the George Mason University Board of Visitors:

• Reginald Brown of Alexandria, Partner, Kirkland & Ellis LLP
• Lindsey Burke, PhD, of Fairfax, Director, Center for Education Policy at the Heritage Foundation
• Michael Meese, PhD, of Oak Hill, President, American Armed Forces Mutual Aid Association
• Ambassador Robert Pence (ret.) of Washington, D.C., Chairman, The Pence Group

Members of the Board of Visitors, the university’s 16-member governing body, serve four-year terms.

This will be the second BOV stint both for Brown and Pence, who were appointed by Gov. Bob McDonnell in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

The four new members replace the four members whose terms expire today, June 30—Ignacia S. Moreno, Paul J. Reagan, Edward H. Rice, and Denise Turner Roth.
