Biography
Wayne Adams is the Senior Academic Affairs Coordinator for the College of Public Health. He is a proud alumnus of Mason, earning his master’s degree in higher education in 2016. His primary role is to support the vision of the College of Public Health through curriculum management, academic course scheduling, and accreditation.
Formerly, Wayne has been actively involved in advising related initiatives at Mason and the Global Community for Academic Advising (NACADA). He was heavily invested in ADVANCE: A NOVA/Mason Partnership as a member of the leadership team and coordinator of the academic pathways, launching over 100 clearly articulated pathways. He also served on the planning committee for the 2016 NACADA Region 2 Conference and also founded/chaired the 2015, 2016, and 2018 Mason/VCCS Academic Advising Symposium.
Wayne is also a founding member of the Mason Academic Advisor Network (MAAN). MAAN is a grassroots organization that aspires to create a culture of advising excellence that encourages communication and collaboration among all of its advisors. He served as Co-Chair for the organization from 2013-2014.
