Biography
Maria Perez is the Associate Director, Undergraduate Student Success in the Office of Student Affairs within the College of Health & Human Services. She joined the college in January 2017 as an Academic Advisor. Previously, Maria worked with Mason's Office of Admissions, working primarily with transfer and international students.
Maria enjoys working with students and helping guide & mentor them from the moment they step on campus to watching them walk across the stage at graduation. In addition to academic advising, she represents the College in the MAAN Steering Committee, New Student Orientation Committee, and is the Learning Coordinator for the Nursing and CPH Learning Communities. She also teaches the CPH UNIV 100 course.
Maria is originally from Guam but has moved all over the world. She moved back to Virginia in 2012, from Oregon, and what was supposed to be a short-term stay has extended to 9 years! Eventually, she would like to return to the Pacific Northwest.
